Siemens Medical Solutions and Medical Coaches have partnered once again to bring you a world-class custom trailer for the medical service industry. We proudly introduce our latest mobile…the all new SIEMENS 1.5T Espree Mobile MRI. Our design, a team effort with SIEMENS MEDICAL SOLUTIONS boasts the lowest total trailer and tandem axle weights of any of our competitors. All models are transportable at field.
Medical Coaches and Siemens have a unique partnership that ensures our Siemens Mobile MRI's are built specifically for their equipment. Siemens has a staging, service and testing facility 10 miles from the Medical Coaches plant in Oneonta, NY. Siemens has maintained this facility since 1988.
Siemens and Medical Coaches have combined, for the first time, a very wide 70 cm bore, a very short 125 cm magnet, a powerful performance of 1.5T and secured it in a mobile environment to the same specifications as a fixed site.
Our newly designed interior offers wide open space and easy maneuverability for technicians to operate more efficiently. The flow from our special heating and air conditioning system is distributed through hundreds of ceiling-mounted louvers providing a "curtain" of air. We chose this method to improve upon the most common system of air distribution ... single, high-volume louvers. These tend to blow offensive volumes of air directly onto the trailer occupants.
The new mobile Espree still retains the basic features that have set Medical Coaches apart from our competition: enclosed patient lift, skirt mounted generator for transit, and low weights.
A major advantage to the new Espree is the sliding patient entrance door which has replaced the electric roll-up door. Roll-up doors have always proven to be problematic. If they fail due to motor or electrical problems or they bind and stop, the lift cannot be used until the door is repaired. In addition, the long “up and down” cycle exposes the interior to cold or hot outside temperatures for long periods of time. The new sliding door can be operated with one hand and disappears in to a “pocket” area. The door can be opened quickly and only as far as needed to preserve interior environmental comfort.
To date Medical Coaches has built 300 plus Siemens MRI trailers since our partnership began in 1984.
